Focus Multimedia have become one of the best software publishers of budget priced software for the family on the PC and their latest title (which was previous published on Xbox Live Arcade by the developer) is another triumph as it is as entertaining and as addictive and it is simple.

In this game you are in charge of a construction site and are tasked with building some tower blocks. All you need to do is drop the individual floors of the building on top of one another.

However, this is made harder than it sounds because of the wind that is occurring at the time. This wind makes the cranes wire sway to and fro and you have to judge the best time to release the block, hopefully so it makes a perfect connection to the one below. This continues until you either get to the top of that particular tower block or you drop two floors without landing them on the stack.

It does not have to be a perfect landing on the tower however and more fun can be had if it isn’t. However the more offline your stacking goes the more it sways making it harder and harder to accomplish what you have set out to do.

Each time you manage to get a perfect fit you earn a bonus multiplier all of which helps for you to get a new high score either at the end of the round or the game. It also helps you progress in the main game to unlock different towers, features and achievements.

The game comes with various different modes from the usual quick play to the main single player mode which is Build City. Here the buildings are different colours and some strategy comes into play in order for you to maximize the population of the city.

As well as the single player modes there is also a multiplayer component which is made up of a further three modes, Battle, Time Attack and Co-op all of which are self explanatory.

Graphically the game is incredibly colourful with the different towers being different colours and part of the fun being that only certain colours can stand next to each other.

The sound in the game is a pleasant tune which thankfully does not distract from the main action. There are characters within the game but there speech is not digitalized and you read the text balloons yourself.

Overall I love this game; it is perfect for people of all ages. Yes it is probably not going to appeal to those who are dedicated FPS fans but for younger game players it is perfect and for adults it is a good diversion to play when you haven’t got the time to play something a little more complex.

Very recommended.
