Hillside Ruins

The game begins with a short cinematic and you begin in the Hillside Ruins dungeon. After gaining control of Dean, head over to the switch on the left in front of the door and press it to open the door. Upon entering the next room, you will notice an opened door on your right and a closed door on your left. Enter through the opened door on the right to locate 2 treasure boxes. Now go back to the room with the closed door and move the large block on to the floor switch to open the door. Head up the stairs and through the next door to find 4 blocks in front of you. Destroy one of these blocks (doesn’t matter which one). Pick up Rebecca’s Diary on the left side on the floor and then ascend the blocks to the upper level. *NOTE* If you destroy the wrong block, just exit the room and re-enter and all the blocks will return.
In the next room, move each of the dirt mounds and press the “O” button near the shining spot until you locate the Golem Part. Once you’ve obtained the Golem Part, head back to the entrance of the dungeon and speak to Old Man Tony to trigger another cut scene. Upon regaining control of Dean, speak to Rebecca to trigger another cut scene. Once the cut scene is over, save your game and head out of town to the west.

Celestial Park

Follow the trail to the north past a log until you reach a fork in the road. At the fork, turn left and continue following the trail around to an elevated area. After a short cut scene, you will face a boss fight. Once you defeat the boss, slide kick the log and jump down from the ledge. *NOTE* to avoid wasting time, be sure to avoid the gap and land on the ledge. Cross the ledge and continue down the path until Rebecca and Dean have a conversation about when Dean decided to leave Capo Bronco (should be the second conversation). Head north and slide kick the log at the top of the ledge facing the river below. Head back the way you came until you’re on the original path again and take the southern trail down to the river to the save point. After saving your game, follow the path to the northwest and take the first path to the west. Keep your eyes out for the treasure box on your way.  Take the left at the fork in the road and head northwest again to find 2 more treasure chests.*NOTE*  If you kill Sol Niger on your way, it will make the return trip through here much easier, as it gives you the option to turn off the “encounter” option by pressing the R2 button. This will ensure you do not encounter any enemies on your return trip through this section. Return to the fork and head northeast and head toward the ledge, this will begin a cut scene. After the cut scene is over, head toward the exit to trigger a boss battle with Kavilos. Upon defeating Kavilos, you will be automatically returned to Capo Bronco.

Capo Bronco

After the cut scene, and Rebecca has joined your party, you will find yourself outside of town. Your first destination is located north of Capo Bronco, just open your field map and head toward the white circle (Abandoned Path).
Abandoned Path
Head down the flight of stairs and shoot out the blue lamp with a regular bullet. This should turn the lamp red and open the gate. Enter the next room and shoot all 6 lamps to make them red to open the next door. Head through the door and save your game. Now head out through the eastern door and down the corridor heading through the door at the end. Move the block onto the switch and head out through the door to the west past the stairs to take on another boss fight. After both enemies are dead, open the treasure chest and press the switch on the left and head back to the save point.
Now the door will be open and you can continue. Head through the door and down the path to the door at the far end, a short cut scene will take place, then continue and take the eastern exit into the next room. Another short scene will take place and then take the eastern exit again. Shoot the lamp that lowers the wall to give you full access to this floor. Take the eastern exit once again to start another cut scene. Head through the door and then take the eastern exit again. Climb the stairs and head through the door that is at the top. Another cut scene will take place. After the cutscene, move the blocks around so that they both rest on the switch to open the door at the end. Go through it to the elevated area and press the switch to make a set of steps appear. Climb the stairs and shoot the 4 lamps to open the main door.
Head left until you reach the opening in the blocked area, once you make it around the corner, you will face another boss. After defeating the boss, continue around to take the northern door. Head to the southern door and exit into the next room, take the northern door to exit this room to start another cut scene. After the cut scene you will be on the field map again where you will head straight along the path until you reach Mirapulse.

Mirapulse

Once you enter town, a cut scene will ensure, after it’s over, head back out to the field in search of the Hunter’s License. Once outside, make a left and follow the rail north to the Cavamvalley Station. Search around the station by pressing the ‘square’ button until you find the Hunter’s License. Once you have it, head back to Mirapulse. Upon returning, watch the cut scene and then head to the excavation point to the North (Lightless Shaft).

Lightless Shaft

After the starting cut scene is over, head through the northern door. Take the corridor to the left and through the first door that appears on the left side. Change the rail switch so that the tram car will move to the north and then check the car to make it move. Cross over the bridge and head to the door that is on the western end. Continue down the path and through the door on the southern end. Head through that door and then continue to the next door, also on the southern end. Entering this door will place you into a boss fight, after defeating the boss, head through the southern exit once again. Now continue down the path to the eastern exit and pass through the door, and then follow the route on your right and exit through the northern exit. Change all the switches and move the tram car and then change them back and move it again. Now head through the door at the northern end to proceed to trigger another cut scene and then head through the northern exit. Move east and through the exit and continue on the path to take the southern exit. In the next room you must move the tram car, then change the switch that is closest to the current tram car location and move the car again. Repeat this process 2 more times and a door will appear where the tram stops, head through this door and take either route (left or right) to find a door at the southern end.
Take the first left path and go through the north exit, continue following this path to the east to face another Sol Niger. Kill the Sol Niger and press R2 to turn off the “encounter” option to make traveling much easier. Keep heading straight and out the northern door and then take the first left and head through the western door. A short cut scene will take place and then you will have another boss fight on your hands. After the boss fight with the professor, head back to the entrance of the dungeon, leave and return to Mirapulse.

Mirapulse

After the cut scene, head out of town and head back to the Cavamvalley Station. Once you get there, you will automatically move into the train and a cut scene will take place. After the train ride, you will be on the field map again, just head to the white circle on the map (Wayward Path) to begin the next dungeon.

Wayward Path

Head into the dungeon and down the stairs to the door to the west, head through the door and travel north and then east to the door at the end of the corridor. At the northern end of the room, there are 2 lamps that you must shoot and then head out the door that opens. Climb the ladder on the left side of the room and enter through the eastern gate. Move toward the left and shoot out all the boxes on the left side of the room, shoot the lamp that is uncovered then move to the right side and repeat the same process. Head through the door to face a boss, defeat it and head up the ladder and out the eastern door.
In this room, shoot all 3 lamps but be quick about it. All 3 lamps must be red at the same time to open the northern door (the lamps are on a timer and will turn blue again if left alone too long). Head out the northern door and jump to the elevated area to shoot out the lamps there *NOTE* you must stand in between the 2 lamps and keep your finger on the square button to rapid fire until the door is completely open, head on through to the next room. Walk up to the northern door and shoot out the blue lamp above the door, then exit the room to face yet another boss. Take out the boss and take the door on the northwest side and it will take you back out to the field. Once outside, just follow the north path until you reach Gounon.

Gounon

Once the cut scene is over and you regain control, walk into the brewery and speak to the person in there. Now leave and head to the cemetery and speak to Joseph then go back to the brewery and speak to the old man on the left. Head back outside to the field and go to the area marked on your map (Temple of Rejection).

Temple of Rejection

Use the Amulet that the old man gave you to enter the temple. After the gate closes (after you’ve opened the first treasure box), head out through the west door, then use the Duplicator to open the second blue treasure chest and get the Ice Bullets. Shoot the blocks ahead with the ice bullets to create a path to cross. After crossing the gap, there is a torch that you must shoot with the ice bullets to open the gate. Exit through the door and then take the eastern gate. Shoot the blocks to ensure they do not fall when you walk on them and continue through the northwest gate. Use the wheel and turn it counter-clockwise once to open the door to the north, head on to the next room. Upon entering the room, a cut scene will take place followed by a boss fight. After defeating the boss, head through the door on the west side and go around the bend to the next door (northern side). Use the ice bullets to shoot the torches to open the eastern door, head through the door and walk around the bend to the southern door. In this room, you must shoot out the lighter colored boxes and climb to the switch located at the top. Pressing the switch will open a door on the southern end of the room. Head through that door and turn the wheel counter-clockwise to open the west gate. In the next room, shoot out all the torches to open the southern door and proceed through. Take the first left and go through the eastern door to battle another boss. After defeating the boss, head out through the eastern door, then make a right at the end of the corridor and proceed through the door at the end. Head out of the dungeon and back to Gounon.

Gounon

After the cemetery scene, head to the brewery and speak to the elderly man to claim your reward. Once you’re ready to go to the next town, go through the exit and answer ‘yes’ to Greg. Leave town and head toward the train station marked with the white circle on your field map. Once you get to the field map again, the next town, Laila Belle, will be marked with a white circle so head over to it.

Laila Belle

Head to the Hunter’s Guild to learn of your next task, talk to the receptionist. Head back out to the Field Map and you will see that Mitheysmere is marked with the white circle now, head on over there.

Mitheysmere

Head to the north east edge of town and go through the door. Jump onto the switch and do a ‘Jump attack’ to change the color of the switch to red, this will open the next door. Follow the path down the first passage and all the way to the fork in the road. Take a left at the fork and continue until you come to a bridge. At the bridge, you will need to turn the wheel counter-clockwise until the bridge is down. Cross the bridge and repeat the process. Now take the exit on the north east corner and continue until you reach another fork in the road, this time, take the middle path. Proceed down the path and take the first right path you come to. Head down the path until you reach an area where 4 purple flames are blazing, get ready for a boss fight. Defeat this boss and head back to the very first fork you took. Once you reach there, there will be a cut-scene. When the group decides to go back to the area with the purple flames, you will face another boss. After defeating the boss, you will automatically end up back in Mitheysmere Town Area. Another cut scene will ensue. Go out to the Field Map and head back to Laila Belle, upon entering you will automatically be talking to the receptionist at the Hunter’s Guild.

Laila Belle

After speaking with Duo at the guild, head on over to the TV Station and enter.

FBC Network Studio

Upon entering, you will be faced with a boss battle, defeat the boss and head to the northern door above the stairs. Entering this door has placed you on a game show. You are facing 3 doors; choose the one on the right to proceed.  *NOTE* you have to read the hints found on the field to guess which door is the correct one. Choose the wrong door and you will have to battle. From where you start, go east to the very end and then head north to take the 3rd door.  Once through, go east again and north, this time take the 4th door instead (door in the very northeast corner). Next, head through the middle door to find yourself on a maze floor. From where you begin, ignore the first left and continue straight, take the next left and continue on. At the end, take a right and go through the second door. Now make a right and go through the door to your left. Now you are in the center of the maze. Take the door located toward your right and turn the corner to the left. You will find a door to your right, go through it and continue through the next doorway. At the end, make a right and take the first right following. On the left will be the door to the next floor. *NOTE* ignore ALL treasure boxes in this area. From where you begin, take the door to the right, and around the corner to the right. Take the next left door and continue through the next door. At the end, make a right and take the next door to your right. Continue on through the second door (don’t take the third door), On your left will be a door, go through it and continue on through the next door. Make a right at the end and around the corner will be the exit. Go through the exit and then take the door on the right. Now take the southern door out of this room, then the western door out of the next room. Next, take the northern door to the next room, and then the eastern door to the next room. Take the door that opens in the west to face the boss of this level. Defeat the boss and head out to the field map and back to Mitheysmere. After a cut scene, head back out to the field map to find the Memorial Sanctuary marked on the map. Head there to enter the next dungeon.

Memorial Sanctuary

Type in “Dean” for the password and then head to the end of the corridor and take the western door to enter the dungeon. In the next room, take the southern door and head to the southern end of the corridor in the next room to find a treasure box containing Fire Bullets. Go back down the corridor and through the door to the room you just came from. Shoot the two lamps with the fire bullets to light them; this will open the door to the west. Head through that door and move the box onto the switch in the corner to open the door. Continue on and take the northern door at the end of the hall. Use the Ice Bullets to freeze one of the boxes and then blow up the other one. Now move the box onto the switch to open the door. Head through the door to the next hall and continue down the corridor until you reach the door in the east. Take this door into the next room and head to the door at the south end. *NOTE* there is a treasure box at the end if you continue past the door. When you head through the south door you will face a boss, defeat the boss and head down to the end of the corridor and go through the northern door at the end of the hall. Go around the East toward the ladder on the right and head up the ladder. At the top of the ladder, there are 12 torches, only light the ones between two walls that emit light. *NOTE* in other words, at the top of the ladder, facing toward the walls, you see 2 torches. Ignore the ones in front of you but light up the one after on the left, and the one after on the other side on the right. Now go around to the other side of the circle. There is a projector that gives you a hint. Face away toward the walls and light the one on your immediate left, then light the next one on the left as well. The ceiling should be open. Once all the lamps are lit, head back down the ladder. Now there is a road across the gap (it appears after you light the correct lamps), cross this road and take the door to the east into the next room. Continue down the corridor to the end and take the door in the east. After entering this room, turn right and go into the next room. The blocks will move when shot with Fire Bullets. Move them and hop around to the other side (they can also be frozen with the Ice Bullets). After the switch is activated and the door is open, go back to the entrance of the floor and take the newly opened eastern door. As you go around the corridor, there will be some torches, light these with the Fire Bullets to create a bridge over the gap. Continue on and take the door at the eastern end. Make a right and enter the room on the south end, grab the treasure chest and go back through the eastern door. Continue around the corridor, lighting the torches again to create a bridge over the gap and take the eastern door. When you enter the next room, you will see 5 glowing balls on the southern end of the room. You must shoot these with different bullets to change their color to unlock the next door. Fire Bullets turn them red, Ice Bullets turn them Blue and Regular Bullets turn them White. With this in mind, change the colors so that you have 1 blue, 1 white, and 3 red (the order doesn’t matter, so long as you have the correct number of each color). Once you do this, head to the elevator on the west end of the room and activate it. In the next room, go around the edge of the room and kill the Sol Niger to move around easily if preferred. Take the southern door to head into the next room to face another boss. After defeating the boss, head to the top of the stairs and into the room with the burning torch. As the projector in the entrance says, take the door that the flames point to (Eastern Door). Climb the stairs and light the torch in the next room, and then take the southern door. Climb the stairs again and light the torch, go to the wall on the northwest (between the doors) and check to find a hidden door, take that door.  After the projector movie scene, you will receive the medicine. Head back outside and take the door to the east, and then climb the stairs to exit back to the field map. Head back to Mitheysmere and watch the cut scene. Afterwards, you will find yourself outside of town on the field map again, head to the Starlit Path, marked on your map with the white circle.

Starlit Path

Head down the stairs and take the eastern door into the next room. Shoot the detector cartridge and the bridge over the gap will appear. Continue across the bridge and through the southern door to the next room.  In this room, jump on the pole and climb up to the elevated area and head out through the door at the southern end. Go down the stairs and look to the left to see a symbol on the wall that is identical to the positions of the torches in the middle of the room. Light the torch that is at the spot on the painting where the light is coming through (the torch closest to the south door) to open the door. Go straight and jump the gorge using the pipe in the middle and enter the door at the end of the room. *NOTE* the door located just before the gorge has a locked treasure box, to open it, just move the block as close to the chest as you can get it and then shoot it with regular bullets. It will explode and unlock the chest. Going out and coming back into the room will reset the box if need be. Once you cross the gorge and head through the door, you will face a boss, defeat the boss and head out the southern door to the next room. Climb the pole on the northeast side and press the switch at the top; this will open the door to the south. Ignore the opened door for now and go through the door to the west. Move the box so that it is stationed between the 4 torches and shoot it with regular bullets to make it explode. The explosion should light all 4 torches at once and open the door at the end. Head through this door and look at the painting on the wall, be sure to memorize the position of the lights, then head back to the room with the opened door that you ignored.  Climb the pipe on the eastern corner and exit through the southern door this time, go down the stairs and you will be in a room with a bunch of torches. Remember that painting you memorized, here is where you need to use it. Light the torches in the same position as the lighted points on the painting to open the door to the south. Exit through this door and press all the switches on the floor and also the one on the ceiling at the top of the pole in the northeast corner of the room. Once all the switches are pressed, the door will open and allow you to proceed. Head through this door to face another boss, defeat the boss and take the eastern door. Climb the stairs to exit back to the field map. Once on the field map, the next place to visit will be marked with a white circle (Honey’s Day), head there.

Honey’s Day

When you get to Honey’s Day, check around for treasure boxes and then head to the shop at the end. Watch the cut scene and then head out of town to find the next destination marked with a white circle (Desecrated Shrine), head on over to it.

Desecrated Shrine

Upon arriving at the Desecrated Shrine, you will see a Gob behind the fenced area, just shoot him with a fire bullet and he will light the torch in the back and open the gate for you. Go through the gate and continue through the northern door. After entering this room, take the eastern door to get to the next room. Continue down the corridor until you reach the end and proceed through the eastern door. When you enter this room, you’ll see another Gob, just shoot him with fire bullets like you did with the first one, and he will light the torch. Now turn north and you will see another torch on the elevated area, jump up and shoot it with a fire bullet to open a door to the east. Head through this door and equip your Ice Bullets. Shoot and freeze the guards around the corner so they don’t see you and then continue through the northern door. When you ender the next room, you’ll see a shielded Gob, shoot the box next to him to blow it up and kill the Gob with the blast. Continue east and press the switch to open the next door. Head through the door and up the stairs to find another Gob Guard on the left. Freeze him with your Ice Bullets and continue on and through the southern door. Here, you will find another Gob, freeze him first and then shoot the box on the east side of the room. Now switch to your Fire Bullets and shoot the Gob 2 times (once to defrost him and again to set him on fire) he will then light the torch and open the gate for you. With the gate now open, equip your Ice Bullets again (you’ll need them immediately after entering the next room) and head through the door on the west side of the room. Shoot both Gob Guards inside the next room and then continue on and take the Western door to face a boss. After defeating the boss, shoot the blue orb to open the door. Once the door is open, jump off the ledge to ground level and go through the western door. Continue around the corner to your right and freeze the Gob Guard, continue on and freeze the next Gob Guard. Continue on and climb the ladder to your left. Move the boxes in the ditch so that they sit on top of the marked squares, once both boxes are hiding the mark, press the switch and drop back down the ladder. Drop the fallen boxes into the ditch on the ground and the boxes will open. Continue down the corridor and there will be a Gob Guard at the end on the left, freeze him and go through the door to the north. In this next room, there will be another shielded Gob, just do like before and shoot the box near him to blow him up, press the switch and head through the door. Freeze the 2 Gob Guards in this room (as you turn the corner) and head to the door at the southern end of the hall. Climb the ladder on your right and push the boxes into the ditch like before. Place them over the marked squares and press the switch then drop back down again. Repeat the process again by dropping the boxes into the ditch to open them and head through the newly opened door. Freeze the Gob Guard around the corner to the right and continue on. There is another Gob on the left as well, freeze him also and head through the eastern door. Climb the ladder to your right as high as it will take you, then enter the door to face another boss fight. When you defeat the boss, head back to Honey’s Day.

Honey’s Day

After the meal and event with Chuck, head out of town to the Train station Meisis. After reaching there, there will be another event with Fereydoon and you will find yourself back in Honey’s Day. Another event will take place and then you will be back on the Field Map. Head to the next marked place on the map, (Mt. Chug-Chug).

Mt. Chug-Chug

Once inside Mt. Chug-Chug, you will go through a short Cut Scene and be plunged into a boss fight. After the boss fight, head through the northern gate and then the door. Head to the door at the south west corner and enter it to the next room. Head to the end of the tunnel and take the door at the end. Jump down to the lower level of this room and gather all the coins, then jump down another level and go through the door at the north eastern end. Press the switch and hop around to the other side, do NOT press any of the yellow switches or you will have to start over again. Make it to the other side of the room and take the northern door to the next room. Continue down the tunnel and take the door at the end, ignore the prisoners fro now and continue through the door at the southern end. Jump down from the ledge to the lower level of the floor. *NOTE* there is a door on this level to the south that leads to a blue treasure chest. Open it by using a Duplicator if you have one. Jump down to the lowest level and go through the southwestern door. Go to the end of the tunnel and take the southern door to the next room. Head to the south eastern corner and activate the trolley, it will end up inside the elevator. Head to the elevator and activate it. Move the trolley from the elevator and it will crash into the stopper in the middle of the floor. Now go to the lever between the two pillars and turn it clockwise, it should lift the trolley up on the platforms. Once that is done, climb the ladder that is located in front of you and move the trolley and activate it so it crashes a wooden wall and opens a new path for you. Go through the path and reactivate the trolley again so that it moves back to the previous stopper. Before you follow the trolley, make sure to change the rail switch, then head back to the trolley and reactivate it again. It should crash through another wooden door and reach another stopper on another platform. Jump off the platform and turn the lever again in the middle to bring the 2 platforms down, activate the trolley and it should go to the next elevator. Activate the elevator to get to the next floor. Once you get to the next floor, activate the trolley to make it go to the first stopper, then turn the lever located straight ahead of the elevator and climb the platform that is carrying the trolley and activate it once again. It should crash through the wooden wall and open a new path, taking this path will lead you to a boss fight. After defeating the boss, head to the door in the northeast *NOTE* there is a treasure chest on the other side of the area, grab it before going through the door. After going over the gap, make a left to find another chest behind the crates that contains the Power Point Bullets. Head to the end of the tunnel and through the eastern door to find yourself in another room containing those annoying yellow switches. Same as before, press the switch and hop around the room to reach the door. Remember to not press a yellow switch or you will have to start over again. Head through the door and destroy the boulders in your way by using the Power Point Bullets and continue to the western door. Head through this door and jump off the ledge to the ground floor where you will find a door to the west. This door will take you to a room with a switch on the far end, Stand on top of it and do a jump attack down and it will open the cage doors and free all the prisoners. This will trigger a boss fight. After defeating the boss, watch the cut scene and you will find yourself outside of Mt. Chug-Chug…head back to Honey’s Day for another cut scene. After the cut scene, head to the Meisis Train Station and get on the train headed for Alsedonia. Once you reach Alsedonia Station, head out to the Field Map to locate the next destination (Twelbit).

Twelbit

When you reach Twelbit, go to the edge of town and speak to Lucille. After the conversation, head out to the Field Map and south toward the desert. You will notice a small oasis, on the small island in the middle of the oasis; do a search to find the Le Ciel Blue and head back to Twelbit. Go back to the place where you spoke with Lucille and she will take you to RYGS Mansion.

RYGS Mansion

After the cut scene with Lady Diana and Fereydoon, you will find yourself in the halls of RYGS Mansion. Continue on and head for the door at the end of the hall. Go around the second level to the middle of the hall and shoot out the chandelier. The guard at the east end of the lower hall will move to see what’s going on. Continue on to the top of the stairs and jump down to avoid the guard, head through the eastern door. Go to the end of the hall and through the door on the west side. In this room, there is a weak spot in the floor in front of the cabinets in the southwest area of the room. Do a jump attack while on that spot and the floor collapses making it possible to exit to the dungeon below. After speaking to Persephone head to the southwest end of the room, climb the stairs and head through the door. Rotate the fan so that it is facing the windmill behind the block, and then move the block to allow the wind to reach the windmill to open the door on the west end. Head through this door and shoot the box on the right with the Power Point Bullets and it will slide onto a switch located behind it. The first door on the left will open, head through it to the next area. Rotate the 2 fans so that the first one is pointing south and the second is pointing north. Now use one of the fans to jump onto the elevated area and head through the door to the south. In the next room, move the right fan so that it points south, the middle fan so it points north, and the left fan so it points south to open the door to the next area. Head through this door and jump from the ledge to the lower level to face a boss. After the boss fight, continue through the southern door and take the eastern door out of the next area. Continue around the corner and the exit will appear, head through it to end up back on the field map. Once you reach the field map, head back to Twelbit and go to AREA 02 to watch a cut scene. After the cut scene, head to the Train Station Alcedonia and speak to the attendant and then ride the train to Cavam Valley. Upon reaching Cavam Valley, head back to Mirapulse and watch a cut scene with the Agitated Hunter. After the cut scene, head out to the field map to locate the next area (Decrepit Path).

Decrepit Path

Head through the west door and use the Detector Bullet to make platforms appear, head up these platforms and through the northern door. Jump on the spring board and over the fence, and then jump on the next spring board and over the next fence then head through the eastern door. If you use the Detector Bullets near the gap in the middle of the room, platforms will appear and allow you to move to the other side of the gap to the door to the north. Taking this door to the next room, you will find 2 unlit lamps in the middle of the room…use the fire bullets and line the lamps up so that one shot will light both lamps. This will open the door to the next area where you will find a couple switches and gates. Use the Stomp move on the first switch to open the gate and then again on the next switch to open the other gate. Now move the block to where the flat switch is located to open the northern door. Enter this door and then head toward the right and take the eastern door to face a boss. After this boss fight, head through the eastern door and continue down the path, climbing the stairs to the door on the northern side. In this next room, light the 4 torches and the gate on the western side of the room will open. Try to light 2 torches at a time with a single shot as it will help. Head through the door to the next room and travel straight until you reach the western door. Head through the western door to find yourself on the elevated area of this room, use the Detector Bullets to make platforms appear and walk across to the other side. Once on the other side, exit through the northern door and take the eastern door in the next room. Jump the wall and keep heading east through the door and then the northern door from this room. Next, take the western door into the next area and head to the door at the south end of the room. There is a Sol Niger in this area, go ahead and defeat it for easier travel (press R2 to turn off the encounter option). Head through the door into the next area and then take the northern door from this area. Head through the exit to find yourself back on the field map once again and take the road down until you reach Harmonde.

Field Map/Harmonde

Enter Harmonde to fight Kartikeya and then leave Harmonde and head to Laila Belle. At Cavam Valley Station, get on the train and head for Provectus (closest station to Laila Belle). After leaving Provectus Station, on the road to Laila Belle, you will encounter a boss fight. After the boss fight, continue onward toward Laila Belle until you reach town. Once you’re in Laila Belle, there will be a cut scene, after the cut scene your next destination is Mitheysmere. From AREA 01 of Mitheysmere, head over to the dungeon area past the Destitute Merchant and Flower-Growing Girl. Head toward the eastern path and take the middle fork in the road. Use the bridge over the gorge to find Kartikeya where you fought with Balam earlier. This will trigger a cut scene and you will be taken from Mitheysmere to Locus Solus: Black Box, inside the Mayflower.

The Mayflower/Memory Maze

Upon entering the Mayflower, head to the southern doors and head either left or right and climb the slope to reach the bridge. After the conversation with the captain head back to the southern doors and head down the slope and make a left. Turn the corner and take the second door on the right, this will make the captain start talking and throw you into Avril’s mind. Head down the path to the end and touch the crystal; this will move you to the next area. Use the detector at the gap and platforms will appear allowing you to go over the gap and to the northern end. Touch the crystal at the northern end to move to the next area. Move down the path to the end to see another cut scene, and then touch the crystal on the left. After Avril speaks, head back to the previous area and move down the path making sure to touch the middle crystal this time. Avril will speak again, return to the previous area once again and continue down the path this time touching the right crystal. Once again, Avril will speak and then you must return back to the previous area. Once in this area, head down the path and touch the crystal in the middle of the fork to reach the next area. Head down the path making sure to take the left route (if you get too close or in front of the Avril statues, they will attack). In this next area, just do like before, touch the left crystal, return and touch the middle crystal, return and touch the right crystal, return and then touch the crystal in the middle of the fork. In this next area, climb up to the second floor of this area to fight the Ice Queen Avril, after the boss fight, move to the top floor and touch the crystal there. In this area, you must avoid the Avril statues so just jump off the ledge and land on the lower path to avoid the first 2 statues. Continue on and use the detector to make the platforms appear. Use these platforms to avoid the final statue and touch the crystal to get to the next area. Just like the last area, you must avoid the statues while making your way to the crystal. Move slowly as you near the ditches, there are statues in them and they will jump out and cross your path as you close in. Touch the crystal and head to the next area where you must speak to the two Avril’s to determine which one is the real Avril. Speak to both once and you cannot be sure, speak to them twice and it should be obvious (the Left one is real). This will trigger another fight with Avril, defeating her again will place you back on the Mayflower. Head back downstairs and toward the hanger (the area where you started from when you first arrived on the Mayflower). After the cut scene, you will find yourself outside and in control of Asgard. Head southwest and follow the path north (destroy boulders with Asgard when necessary) until you find the Pilgrim’s Cradle.

Pilgrim’s Cradle

Once inside the Pilgrim’s Cradle, head down to the door in the east. Open the treasure box to the right and get the new bullet Anchor Hooks. Next, shoot the blocks on the other side of the ledge with a power shot and a freeze ray. Now that the blocks are frozen in place, shoot them with an Anchor Hook and you will sail over the gap with no troubles. Repeat this process until you reach the door to the north and head on through. Shoot Anchor Hooks at the elevated orbs on the other side of the ledge. Move the camera around so that you can be sure your aiming at the right ones. Go across the ledge and enter the north corner of the area. Head into the next room and examine the lit terminal (you must leave Carol here) and then take the eastern door. Step on the floor switch in this room (leave Greg here) and then take the north door. Leave chuck on the floor switch in this room and head out the eastern door. Leave Avril on the switch in this room and head out the northern door. Stomp attack the switch and you will fight a boss. Once the boss fight is over, head out through the northern door. Go down the stairs and through the door to the south. Now stand on the platform and shoot an Anchor Hook to move over the gap. Repeat this process and then head out the door on the western side. Move to the second orb down and shoot an Anchor Hook at it, now step on to the platform on the right and shoot another anchor hook. Repeat this process and then head through the western door. Go down the stairs and through the southern door, then down the stairs again taking the northern door. Leave Carol to man the terminal and exit through the west door to the next room where you will leave Avril on the floor switch and head out the northern door. Leave Rebecca on the floor switch and head back to where you left Avril through the southern door. Speak to Avril and ask her to come along, leave Chuck in her place. Head through the northern door in this room as well as the next room. Leave Greg on the floor switch in this room and take the eastern exit to the next rom. Leave Avril on the floor switch in this room and head through the northern door. Stomp attack the floor switch in this room to trigger another boss fight followed by a cut scene. Head back to the room where you did the Stomp Attack on the floor switch and touch the crystal in this floor to be teleported back outside. Head back to the platform area for the Mayflower to watch a cut scene.

Capo Bronco/Hillside Ruins

Once you have control of Dean, you will be back in Capo Bronco so just head outside of town. Once you’re on the Field Map, open the menu screen and select the Teleport Orb and use it to teleport to the Hillside Ruins. Once you’re in front of the Hillside Ruins, face north and follow the wall on the right side heading east until you come to a boulder blocking your path. Summon Asgard and use him to break the boulder and allow you to continue down that trail. Continue down the trail heading southeast until you come to a beach with a tower inside a live volcano. Head into the tower.

TF System: Tower M

Upon entering the tower, head through the northern door, and then turn the corner and enter through the door to the west. Use a fire bullet to move the platform over to you, and then shoot an ice bullet and move the platform to the other side. The platform will stop in the middle so shoot another fire bullet at the torch on the other end and walk through the door on the western side. Climb the pole in the next room and head through the door to the east to reach the next room. Once inside, light the 4 torches and the door will open, make sure to line up all the torches so you can shoot them all in one shot, then hurry through the door on the southern end before it closes. Climb the poles in this room, jumping to different poles as you climb and go through the northern door at the top of the room. Light the torch to call the platform and use the ice bullets to move it back, now jump around and head through the western door. Jump on the spring on the western end and use it to jump up on the platform above. Now step to the edge and shoot out fire bullets to the 4 torches below to activate the platform and then head through the eastern door at the top. In the next room, light all 4 torches in the corner as you turn on the wheel to open the door on the east side of the room. Follow the path around and you will be confronted by another boss. After the fight, enter the door at the northern end to proceed to the next room. In this room, you must shoot all the orbs with the Ice Bullets first (turning them all blue) and then turn the middle orb red with a fire bullet and the outside 4 corner orbs white using regular bullets. This will open the door to the next room, head through it and jump on the spring and climb to the top by switching poles. Take the door on the southern end at the top of this area and light all 4 torches as you turn on the wheel to open the door. There is also a Sol Niger in this room that you can defeat before going through the door, defeat it and head through the southern door. Jump around on the springs to climb up to the top, light the 4 torches with fire bullets to activate the platform and go through the door to the north. Light the torch on the left to activate the platform, as you get onto the platform, you must shoot the torch in the center in order to activate the next one. As you get to the next platform, make your way to the center of the room and get on the following platform before it passes. Light the final torch and walk over to the door on the north side. Walk along the hall and light the torches as they come to call the platforms, extinguish them to move the platforms back. Next, stand on the tile and shoot an anchor hook at the orb above and get to the other side to fight another boss. After the boss fight, go through the door to fight Persephone twice, once with the party members and once with Rebecca only. After the boss fight, take the Giga Crush located in the center and touch the crystal at the far end of the room to be teleported back to the dungeon entrance. Exit the dungeon and return to the field map. Teleport back to Provectus Station and head northeast to where the river is blocking the way. Use Asgard to cross the shallow area and head north through the ice tunnel. Continue this way until you come across the next tower.

TF System: Tower S

Enter the tower and take the door to the north to area 2. Turn the corner and head for the end of the hall, taking the western door at the end to go back to area 1. Shoot at the transparent boxes with the Ice Bullets and you will be able to cross the gap to reach the door to the west to area 3. Head through the door and jump around on the spring and climb to the top and exit through the eastern door to get to area 4. Jump the gap to get to the island that has 1 box and a floor switch, place the box onto the switch to open the southern door to area 6. Head through the southern door and climb the pole to exit through the north door to get to area 7. In the next room, move around the ledge and take on the boss fight as you work around it. Once the boss is defeated, head out through the door on the north side and into area 8. Move the boxes in this room around so that they line up with what the ceiling and wall shows. Dean will mention a door opening somewhere, head back out the way you came and go to the door on the west side of the room to access area 9. Climb up and head through the door to the east at the top into area 10. Light all the orbs with the ice bullets then use the fire bullets to turn the eastern orb red. Turn the western orb white with a regular bullet this will freeze the water in area 4, so head back there. Drop the 2 boxes on the ice and move them so they are lined up like a bridge connecting the other island with the switch and the bigger island with the box and the first switch that was activated. When both boxes are lined up, move the block that is on the first switch and place it on top of the second switch.  The northern door will open allowing you access to area 5. In this room, just do like before and line the boxes up the way the ceiling and wall shows. This will open another door somewhere, head back to area 4  and go through the door on the east side of the room to area 11. Climb to the top of this room and head through the door on the west side. Shoot the blocks in this room using the power shots so that one ends up on top of the switch, the western door will open and allow you to proceed to area 12. Move the block on the switch closest to the spring and then use the springs to climb up to the top. At the top, go to the other end of the ledge and drop the block to the below switch to open the eastern door to area 14. Using the power shot, move block 1 (left center block) north and then block 2 (northern most block) to the left. Now move block 3 (southern most block) to the left one shot and then block 4 (the only block you haven’t touched) north one shot and west one shot. Now concentrate on block #1 and shoot it east, south, west, and then north in that order. This will leave block one resting on the switch and open the east door to area 15. Head through the door and follow the hallway around to the gap in the floor. Use the freeze shot to solidify the nearly transparent steps across the gap and continue down the hall. At the next gap, use the anchor hook to latch onto the orb above and drop down on the other side of the gap and then continue down the hallway. As you near the end of the hall, you will face a boss. After the boss fight, continue down the hall and take the door leading north into area 16. Enter area 16 and face Elvis twice, once with the party and once with Carol only. After defeating Elvis, take the Giga Crush in the center of the room and touch the orb at the end of the room to be teleported back to the dungeon entrance. Leave the dungeon and head to TF Systems Tower G in Southeastern Filgaia.

TF System: Tower G

Enter the tower and head through the door to the north to reach area 2. In area 2 climb the pole to reach the ledge above and exit through the door to area 3. Here is your first puzzle of the tower, here is how to solve it. Jump from the starting platform to the green block to your left (jump over the green block directly in front of you) then move to the blue block to your left, then the yellow, then red, and green again. Step on the blue block and then head south onto the yellow block followed by the red block to the south. Now jump to the green block near the entrance, then head north to the blue block, then left to the yellow block. Now work your way around to the left across the red block, then the green one, then blue, then yellow and red. Now head south again to the green block, then the blue then turn and get on the yellow block to the east, then head north to the exit crossing the red and green blocks to complete this puzzle and open the door to area 5. In this room, you have to stomp on two switches in order to lower the elevator. Stomp on the switches alternately until the elevator gets low enough for you to get on it. Ride the elevator to the top and enter the door to area 6. In area 6 you will face another colored block puzzle. Start on the red square and move left to the green one then on to the blue one. Jump over to the yellow one and then move diagonally to the bottom left corner stepping on each block on your way. When you reach the yellow block in the lower left corner, jump to the red one and make your way to the door and into area 7. As you work your way around the hallway, you will encounter a boss fight. Once you dispose of the boss, continue around the hall and take the door at the end to reach area 8. This puzzle is a little more confusing, but you should have the hang of it by now. Here is how to solve it. From the starting block (red) jump to the first green on to the left. Now jump to the blue one to the north (not the one touching the square your standing on) then jump north again to the yellow square. Now move east to the red square and then jump south to the green one. Now jump west to the blue square, then north to the yellow square. From the yellow square, jump west to the far red square and then south to the green square. Move west onto the blue square and jump east back to the yellow square. Jump from the yellow square to the northern most red square and move to the green square to the west. Now jump to the blue square by the door to exit this room into area 9. Jump onto the platform to make it start moving and move Dean around to avoid the obstacles that get in your path as the platform makes its way around the hall. Get to the end and go through the door to reach area 10. Head through the door on the east side to get to area 11, make sure you are on the bottom floor and use the power shot to quickly shoot the two eyes on both pillars. When the force field is lowered it will release the platform above allowing it to lower. Head back into area 10 and go through the door to get you to the upper level of area 11 (wait for the platform to come all the way down). Jump across to the entrance to area 12 and head through the door. Climb the pole to the top and grab the chest, then head through the door to area 13. Read the clues in this area and remember them as they will help you solve the puzzles in areas 15-17 (these must be solved first before solving the one in area 14 to open the door to area 18). Make your way through the puzzle in room 15 and move on to area 16. In area 16 it’s another elevator operated by 4 switches this time, just stomp on them to lower the elevator and ride it to the top to get to area 17. In area 17, take out the Sol Niger so that you can turn off the random encounters and then solve the puzzle. Once the puzzles in areas 15-17 are solves, you can go back and solve the puzzle in area 14 to open the door to area 18. Head back to area 14 and shoot the yellow orb once with the Freeze Bullets, the blue orb 3 times with the Power Shot, the Purple orb twice with the Power Shot, the White Orb twice with the fire bullets and the red orb 7 times with regular bullets. This will now open the door to area 18 so head back through areas 15-17 and exit through the door to area 18. Area 18 is another platform that you must ride while avoiding obstacles. If the platform stops, just jump/stomp it to get it going again. When it goes underneath an obstacle, just jump onto the obstacle and back onto the platform when it comes out the other side. When you reach the end of the hallway, enter through the doorway to reach area 19. Enter area 19 and take on Fereydoon twice, once with the party and once with Chuck by himself. After beating the boss, grab the Giga Crush and touch the teleport stone to be transported back to the entrance. Upon leaving the tower, the endgame begins. Head to TF System: Tower O.

TF System: Tower O

Enter this tower and get ready to face a boss battle in the first room. Defeat the boss and head through the north door to area 2. Use the detector to see the invisible steps leading to the first floating lift platform. Jump to each platform until you reach the top and the door to area 3. Enter the door and jump across the four floating platforms to reach the far ledge and the crystal that leads to area 4. In area 4, use a fire bullet on the center orb to make the western crystal appear that leads to area 5. Touch the crystal and go to area 5. There are 4 barriers that go back and forth across this room block the 3 torches most of the time. There is a moment when you’ve got a clear shot at all 3 torches, charge your fire bullets up and when you have a clear shot, let it rip. Once all 3 torches are lit, head back to area 4. This time shoot the center orb with a freeze bullet to get the eastern crystal to appear and give you access to area 6. Area 6’s puzzle is just as challenging as the area 5 puzzle. Using your freeze bullets, you must extinguish the 4 flames while riding a moving platform, you have to put the fires out and keep them out and head back to area 4 once again. Back in area 4, shoot the center orb with a power shop to get the northern crystal to appear and allow you access to area 7, touch the crystal and head to area 7. In area 7, jump across the moving platforms to reach the doorway on the south ledge leading to area 8 and head through it. Make your way around the hallway and through the door at the end into area 9. In area 9, use the power shot to shoot the blue orbs in the following order: West orb, East Orb, Middle Orb, west Orb. Then shoot the Eastern Orb with a regular bullet to make a crystal appear in the eastern part of the chamber that will take you to area 10. In area 10, use a power shot to shoot the colored orbs in this order: East, West, South, North (leave the middle orb untouched). When this is done, the sealed doorway in the East opens leading to area 11. Area 11 is another hallway, so make your way to the end and head through the door to area 12. Jump across the moving platforms to reach the crystal on the northern ledge and then touch it to move on to area 13. Use the Duel Sign bullets to challenge the boss in the middle orb in order to open a door further in the dungeon. After defeating the boss, shoot the northwest orb with a regular bullet, the southwest orb with a freeze bullet, the northeast orb with a power shot, and finally shoot the southeast orb with a fire bullet to open the path to the next area. Travel around area 14 to the exit at the end of the hall and into area 15.  Defeat the Sol Niger to enable the ability to turn off random encounters. The crystal in this room is the point of no return; touch it to begin the battle with Volsung. Defeat Volsung and head to Locus Solus: Black Box for the final dungeon and showdown.

Locus Solus: Black Box

Enter Locus Solus: Black Box and grab the chest in the first area. Head through the northern door to area two and make your way to the end of the hall. Go through the door to enter area 3 and use freeze ray to freeze 3 of the 4 explosive crates. Blow the fourth one up and it will thaw out the 3 frozen ones. Drag the three crates onto the 3 switches to open the door in the south to area 4. Head through area 4 and exit through the southern door to area 5. In area 5, head to the southern wall and shoot it with a power shot to open the doorway to area 6. Drag a crate onto the floor switch in area 6 and then approach the south wall. Walk up and stand in front of the door (as close to it as you can get) and then turn around and shoot the crate. Quickly run through the door before the gate closes again to get to area 7. Head down the hall and around the corner to the door on the west end to get to area 8. Upon entering area 8 take the north exit to area 9/10. Use the detector to see the floating markers in this room, and then shoot them with the Power Shot. Do not get too close to them or you will face a random battle. Head out through the northern exit to get to area 11 and then through the western door to reach area 12. Upon entering area 12, take down the boss and get ready to solve a puzzle that will consist of running back and forth. Head west into area 13 and then south to area 14 where you will need to use the Detector to see the floating markers, just do like in area 9 and shoot them with a power shot without getting too close. Head out the southern door that leads to area 15 and then through the eastern door to area 16. Use the Power shot in area 16 to target the west end of the pipe (located in the northwestern corner of the room) and it will drop down to allow you access to the upper area of this room. Shoot the switch to open the eastern door and then use the Detector to make the invisible steps between the upper levels appear. Climb up the pipe to the upper levels and jump across using the invisible steps and activate the switch to light the flames on the center of the floor. Watch the pattern that the candles light as it is a clue to solve the puzzle in area 12, return to area 12. When you reach area 12, head to the clock and set the time to read 7:55 by first turning the eastern crank to place the red hand on the 7 position. Now turn the western crank until the blue hand is on the 11 position. When done successfully, the two springboards will appear and grant access to the southern door leading to area 17. Use the detector in area 17 to locate the floating markers and take them out with the power shot while moving to the southern door to area 18. In area 18, light all 4 torches with fire bullets and head back to the clock in area 12. Set the clock to 3:15 to activate the eastern springboard and gain access to area 19. Enter area 19 and again use the detector to locate the floating markers and destroy them while moving south to the exit to area 20. In area 20, again light all 4 torches with fire bullets and return to the clock in area 12 to reset the time one final time. Set the clock so that the time reads 6:10 and the doorway to area 21 will finally open. Use either springboard and take an exit to either area 17 or area 19 and make your way south to the door in areas 18 or 20 to get to area 21 and face a boss battle. After defeating the boss, take the elevator up to area 22 and take the door to the south to get into area 26. Defeat the Sol Niger in area 26 so that you can turn off the random encounters and collect the Amethyst and head back to area 22 and take the west exit to area 23. Shoot the blue orb across the gap and quickly jump onto the rising platform to reach the upper level. Take the north exit to reach area 24 and grab the Amethyst. Head back to area 23 and drop off the ledge. Stand close to the platform and once again shoot the Orb to make the platform rise, this time take the southern exit to area 22 when you reach the top. In area 22, shoot the blue orb at the end of the path to show the invisible steps and hop across them. As you cross you will notice 2 orbs on the north wall, shoot the left orb to make the next set of steps appear and cross them. Now take the exit to reach area 23. Stand at the end of the ledge and shoot the blue orb below and use the invisible steps to cross the gap. As you’re crossing, shoot the next blue orb (on the east wall) to make the next set of platforms appear and continue across to reach the ledge that will net you access to area 24. Jump/Stomp the floor switch and then drop off to the lower ledge and take the door in the southeast to reach area 25. In area 25, stand on the platform and shoot the blue orb to raise a platform, ride it up to the upper catwalk and take the exit nearby to enter area 22 again. Shoot the blue orb at the end of the path and then hop across the gap on the invisible steps. Take notice of the two orbs on the north wall and shoot the one on the right to get the next set of invisible steps. Continue across the gap to the ledge and exit back to area 25. This time in area 25, stand at the end of the ledge and shoot the blue orb below to show the invisible steps and make your way across them. Shoot the next blue orb on your way across to get the second set of steps to appear and continue crossing to reach the ledge and the door to area 24. In this section of area 24, jump/stomp the switch and drop off the lower ledge and then take the southeastern exit. Head to area 26 and save your game and then return here and check the indentions on the north wall. Place all 4 Amethysts into the indentions and take the door behind you to area 27.  Upon entering area 27, follow the spiral stairs all the way to the top and examine the door. You will have a chance to ‘make preparations’, ‘save game’, or ‘face Volsung’, I suggest you save before going on as this is the final set of boss fights. Once your game is saved, head through the door to take on Volsung in area 28. Once you defeat him, use the Exodus Orb to teleport back to the dungeon entrance and spend ALL the gella you need in order to restock your items and badges. Set your characters up for one final boss battle. As you exit to Locus Solus from Locus Solus: Black Box, you will confront Legio Volsung in the final battle of the game, defeat him and watch the final cutscene of the game.
